Medical Receptionist

We are seeking a highly organized and personable medical receptionist to join our team and provide exceptional service to our patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact, welcoming patients and managing phone inquiries professionally.
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, considering doctor availability and urgency.
  • Maintain accurate patient information and ensure confidentiality of medical records.
  • Coordinate appointment flow, notifying healthcare providers of arrivals and delays.
  • Handle basic financial transactions and manage office supplies effectively.
  • Contribute to a positive and efficient work environment by adhering to policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical reception setting (GP surgery or specialist clinic).
  • Must have a sound knowledge and experience in the use of medical practitioners softwares such as Medical Director, Best Practice, etc.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications relevant to the role (scheduling software, word processing).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have and maintain a current and up-to-date CPR certification.
  • Have a strong understanding of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and a team-oriented approach with a positive attitude.
